Henri is seven years old.
He was born far too early – already in the 32nd week of pregnancy. Due to a brain hemorrhage, spastic cerebral palsy with a right-sided emphasis developed over time.
Despite all these challenges, Henri is a cheerful, sensitive, and incredibly brave boy. His everyday life often means having to summon more strength than is natural for other children. His right side, in particular, was noticeably weaker and less controllable for him for a long time.
When Henri received the QURV bracelet, our expectations were cautious. Of course, as a mother, you always hope something can help – but you also don't want to get your hopes up too high. All the more touching was what happened next.
After about a week, Henri himself said something that deeply moved us:
He has the feeling that he has just as much strength in his right leg as in his left.
And indeed, we also noticed changes. Henri seemed more stable when running, more balanced in his movements, and generally more secure in his body awareness. It was as if his body was working together more harmoniously.
But the most beautiful thing about it wasn't just what we observed – but that Henri felt it himself. This personal perception of strength, stability, and balance clearly did him a lot of good.
To outsiders, they might seem like small changes. For us as a family, they are big moments. Because when a child who has experienced limitations for years suddenly says themselves:
„I believe the right is now just as strong as the left.“,
then that is something that gives hope.
